Nowadays, you can easily get Karkidaka kanji in packets from market. It is considered as a perfect health supplement for promoting the over all well being of person. Intake of this medicinal dish as a dietary supplement improves the production of cellular energy and enhance energy and stamina of person. This special dish made during monsoon period can be considered as a rejuvenating dish. It is found to be very effective and can be used by people of all ages. Now, let's see versatile ingredients used for the preparation of Karkidaka Kanji.

Ingredients for Karkidaka Kanji



Following are the list of ingredients added for the preparation of Karkidaka Kanji:-

Navarra rice - 1/2 cup
Broken wheat -2 tablespoons
Whole mung beans - 2 tablespoons
Coconut milk - 1/2 cup
Cow's milk - 1/2 cup
Ghee - 1 tablespoon
Salt- 1 tablespoon
Onions - 2
Jaggery- 1
Nutmeg- 1 tablespoon
Black cumin- "
Dry ginger- "
Aniseed - "
Coriander seeds -"
Cumin - "
Cardomom -"
Fenugreek -"
Aashali - "
Cloves - "
Varattu Manjal - "
Uzhinjil -"
Kurunthotti -"
Thazhuthama -"
Ayamodakam -"
Karikurinji -"
Puthirichundu -"
Changalam piranda - "

Method to Prepare Karkidaka Kanji



Add first three ingredients to boiled water and wait till the ingredients are cooked. 

Now, add cow's milk to preparation and allow it to cook in low heat. 

Add jaggery, salt and other ingredients to preparation.

Wait for a few minutes time and then take out the preparation from heat. Traditional ayurvedic Karkidaka Kaji is now ready to serve.
